| Description: | The Young Lawyers Committees of GDLA and DRI are joining forces again for the GDLA-DRI Young Lawyers Happy Hour sponsored by GDLA Platinum Sponsor ESI. This year, with a charitable mission! WHERE: Ri Ra Irish Pub, Atlanta (1080 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309) WHEN: May 23rd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. COST: Free! Before you attend, please check your closet! This year, in an effort to bring a charitable component to our annual happy hour, we are collecting gently-used professional clothing items to donate to Covenant House Georgia. CHGA is a local shelter that works exclusively with youth and young adults suffering from homelessness. In addition to providing shelter, CHGA has numerous programs to help its youth obtain education and employment, including maintaining a “professional clothing closet” where its youth can obtain clothes to wear to job interviews and to work. As young lawyers, we are especially well-suited (pun intended) to donate to this program, as many of us not only have closets full of professional clothing items, but specifically, professional clothing items appropriate for young adults. Before you come to the happy hour, please look through your closet to see if you have any gently-worn business or business casual clothing items you no longer wear. If you find you have items to donate, please bring them with you to the happy hour, and we will handle the rest!
